About Me

I am passionate about the handcrafted world, taking on the freedom to creative, I focus my artwork on textiles, surface design, creating artwork from fabric, threads, yarn and various fibers by using traditional techniques such as sewing, weaving, knitting, embroidery, painting and dyeing to build texture, pattern and form.

Living on the west coast of Ireland brings a wealth of natural resources to rural landscapes and traditions; when these cultural influences combine with our history and heritage, I can develop a broad combination of skills to explore and expand throughout my work and creative progress.

Inspiration is drawn from my own personal expressions and observations of local landscapes, photographic media, by journeys and experiences gathered from museums and galleries during my continuous travels throughout Ireland.
My artwork demonstrates a variety of mixed-media materials, which layer a tactile map of possibilities, from the materials themselves to the techniques used to create striking textured Irish landscape paintings.

This year I am focusing on expanding my portfolio of work, continuing to refine my webpage, and producing original artwork both digitally and by hand.
